Bontempi Andrea
Andrea Bontempi obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Instrumentation at Politecnico di Torino in 2018 and 2021 respectively. Under the supervision of Professor Danilo Demarchi, he worked on a master thesis’s about “Wireless Power Transfer for Implantable Medical Devices”, with a focus on near-field resonant inductive coupling technology.
In 2021, he started the Ph.D. in electrical, electronics and communications engineering with the eLiONS research group and joined the IEEE Student Branch of the Politecnico di Torino.
He worked on the SPAS4S project related to the electronic design of a smart personal protective equipment remotely powered using RFID technology. Since 2022 he has been working on the CEREBRO project, a new brain imaging system based on CMOS microparticles.
His main research interests are related to the design of macro and micro-electronics system used in the biomedical field.
