Boscherini Marco

Marco Boscherini, born in Arezzo in 1995, received the Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2022 at Politecnico di Torino, with a specialization in Biomedical Instrumentation. His Master’s thesis project, entitled “Low-cost Neuronal Network Electronic Readout Circuit for Micro-Graphitic Diamond Multi-Electrode Arrays”, was supervised by Prof. Danilo Demarchi and PhD Alessandro Sanginario at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department (DET) of Politecnico di Torino and performed in collaboration with the Department of Drug Science and Technology and the Department of Physics (University of Torino). The project dealt with the development of an analogue front end to readout signals from innovative neuronal cell culture diamond-based Multi-Electrode Arrays (MEAs). Throughout this period, Marco gained expertise in the fields of biological signal acquisition, PCB prototyping, microcontroller programming and signal processing.

Since November 2022, Marco Boscherini is a PhD student in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering (EECE) at Politecnico di Torino, where he is a member of the eLiONS research group. His research focus includes both the continuation of his Master’s thesis project and the development of a project involving the measurement of Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV). Specifically, the latter aims to design a system for acquiring signals from novel piezoresistive graphene sensors developed by the University of Strasbourg.
