Calvo Stefano

Stefano Calvo is a PhD student who joined the eLiONS group in 2021.
He received both his master and bachelor’s degree in Politecnico di Torino in Physical Engineering and Nanotechnologies for ICTs respectively.
His research filed concerns the development of energy autonomous, low-power, and low-cost electronic devices for Smart Agriculture applications. In particular, his work focuses on the in-vivo analysis of the plants stem (and trunk) electrical impedance: a promising parameter to assess valuable information regarding crops health status.
He joined the research group especially because of the research project that he works on. In fact, Smart Agriculture is one of the main tools that will allow to tackle climate change and ensure enough food for the entire world population, and he cares a lot about these issues.
