Pogliano Marco

Marco Pogliano is a member of the eLiONS research group at Politecnico di Torino. His university career began with the bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, followed by the master’s degree in Biomedical Instrumentation at Politecnico di Torino. During his studies, the keen interest in electronics and signal processing of biomedical signals grow up. His master’s thesis focused on developing a millimeter-wave radar-based respiratory rate monitoring system. He also delved into the innovative use of a filament 3D printer as thoracic motion simulator to build reference test-benches. From this experience, his increased interest in biological signal processing led him to work on the study of electrical impedance applied to respiratory analysis funded by a research grant at Politecnico di Torino. Among the activities focused on the analysis of physiological parameters, he is also involved into the study of Pulse Wave Velocity specifically through impedance measurements and into the construction of predictive models on new signal sampling sites different from those in the literature.
